The following response was recieved: '-ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.'. If you have not enabled logging, more information may be obtained by setting POP3.LogPath and/or using POP3.LogInMemory."Should pop3 work witha mailbox of the type "shared"?What login credentials should i use in the external system? This is the command i use in exchange console to create the mailbox."New-Mailbox -Name "support" -Database "Mailbox Database" -UserPrincipalName support@company.com-Shared"lars

Hi Lars,This behavior is by design in Exchange 2007because POP3 and IMAP4 clients cannot use the DomainName\Username\Alias format to log on to the Exchange Server server. Check below KB article for further detail.http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;937359Create a normal user account and try to connect CRM application with POP3 protocol.Amit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Yes, basically Resource mailboxes have a disabled user account so you have to use some delegated account to access resource mailboxes and in Exchange 2007 when you access any mailbox with POP3/IMAP through delegated account it fails as mentioned in KB article...Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
